The Associate University Librarian for Collections Services is a member of the senior administrative leadership team of the Harold B. Lee Library at Brigham Young University, providing vision and strategic direction to the Library as a whole while fostering a culture of collaboration and communication.
This position also provides leadership, management, resource stewardship, and strategic planning for the Collections Services Division and advocates for the functions and services provided by the departments and units within the division (Collections Development, Digital Initiatives, Conservation, Collection Management, Acquisitions, and Circulation services).
Working with colleagues in external library consortia, university citizenship, and active participation in scholarship are expectations of the AUL. Working with the division personnel is an important accountability, including mentoring faculty through the continuing faculty status and rank advancement processes.
