How to Use MPLA’s Members-Only Directory maintained by MemberClicks

Accessing your MPLA Directory Profile

MPLA uses MemberClicks, an online membership maintenance service, for its Directory. The information is available only to members, not to the public. If you would like to change your preferences or contact information, here’s how to do it:

  • At the MPLA website: www.mpla.us, go to the login section at the bottom of the page.
  • Login with your username and password. If you don’t remember these, click on “Forgot Your Password” (be sure to enter the e-mail address which you originally used for MPLA).
  • Upon arrival at the MPLA Membership Website, click on “My Profile” at the top left. (If you use the "Quick Name Search" to find your profile, then click on “Edit.”)
  • When your profile information appears you may add or change contact information, indicate your preferences, and change your username and password. “Save” the changes to your profile before exiting. If you need to change your e-mail address, please see “Changing E-mail Address” below.

Adding or Deleting Electronic Communities and E-lists

To Add, Delete, or Change Electronic Communities:

Access your Profile to “Edit” (see Accessing your MPLA Directory Profile). Holding down the control-key, highlight your selections from the Electronic Communities area. “Save” the changes to your profile.

To Subscribe to the corresponding E-lists:

Return to your Profile to “Edit.” hold down the control-key and highlight selections from “Elist Subscription” area. “Save” the changes to your profile.

To Unsubscribe to E-lists:

Access your Profile to “Edit.” Holding down the control-key, de-select lists from the “Elist Subscription” area. “Save” the changes to your profile.

Changing E-mail Address:

If you need to change your e-mail address in your profile, you must first un-subscribe from e-lists before you make the e-mail change. “Save” the changes to your profile. Then return to your profile to “Edit.” Change your e-mail both under “Elist Email” and “Email” (the addresses must be the same). Then hold down the control-key and highlight selections from “Elist Subscription” area. Again, “Save” the changes to your profile.

Searching

Login to MPLA’s MemberClicks. At the top left, select “Directory. From the fly-out menu select “Simple Search” or “Advanced Search” and proceed.

Using a “Saved Search”

From “Directory” select “Simple Search.” Go to the “Use a Saved Search” section.

From the “Use a Saved Search” drop-down list select one of the searches.

Click on the “Search” with the magnifying glass icon to its left. You will retrieve business card profile displays.

Sending Messages

After searching for a member or a group of members, select “Contact” from the options above the profiles to the right. A form will appear for your message. Complete the form and “Send.”

Attachments: Follow the 2-step process to add an attachment, making sure to “Upload” after selecting a file.

Print Lists

After searching for a group of members, select “Print” from the options above the profiles to the right. Follow the instructions to choose a format and preview your list before printing.

Export Lists

To download a file, after searching for a group of members, select “Export” from the options above the profiles to the right. In the “New Jobs” section click on “submit.” If it’s a short list you will get the results right away. If it’s a long list, you’ll get an e-mail when it’s ready. It comes in “comma separated values” format, which once opened can be saved and manipulated as an Excel file.
