There is no particular order to the images. We've tried to group some together where they are from the same or similar events.

Other Conference Events
Pat Wagner draws names ... Pictured with Pat are NDLA President Kaaren Pupino and incoming MPLA President Jean Hatfield.
More from Pat's networking session
Cherie Heser, Montana Representative and Bob Powlowski, who presented a conference program together on Lewis & Clark.

Dana Boden, MPLA Bylaws Chair makes a point during the pre-conference Executive Board meeting.
Anyone who has served on the MPLA Executive Board can tell you that sometimes the best part of MPLA Executive Board meetings is the Krispy Kremes!
Stan Terry, EBSCO regional vice president, presented a $10,000 check to Marilyn Hinshaw, Leadership Institute Chair, to help support the Institute.

Many sessions at the conference were quite well attended.
Some sessions, such as this F.I.S.H. program, involved audience participation.
Jean Hatfield deftly leads the association through the business meeting.
One of the highlights was the session featuring the life and times of Sacagawea (a.k.a. Amy Mossett).
MPLA Folks at Work and Play... Mostly Play
Basha Hartley, Oklahoma Representative, and Jean Hatfield, Incoming MPLA President, share a laugh together.
A lot of "quality time" was spent by MPLA board members and others in MPLA President Debbie Iverson's room at the Ramada, discussing issues which concerned many libraries in the MPLA member states (*wink, wink*). Here, Brian Greene, Electronic Communications Committee Co-Chair, makes a point to Sharon Osenga, outgoing Recording Secretary.
(L to R) Scott Goldy, NMRT Chair, Dan Chaney, Webmaster, Lisa Mecklenberg Jackson, Newsletter Editor share a laugh... and soft drinks... yeah, that's the ticket.
Incoming MPLA President, Jean Hatfield in a more pensive moment
Dan Chaney, MPLA Webmaster, trying to figure out how to use his new cel phone...during a conference session. Bad boy, Danny.
Brian Greene, Sharon Osenga and Mary Ann Thompson, Preservation Section Chair
Dan and Scott, enjoying a beverage and talking shop
Debbie Iverson, MPLA President and Dana Boden, Bylaws Chairs
When MPLA Board members weren't talking shop and laughing in Debbie's room, they were conducting association business poolside and at the Ramada's long water slide or in the hot tub. Here, Scott Goldy, NMRT Chair (Right) and Dan Chaney, MPLA Webmaster (Left) enjoy one of many many trips down the water slide.
Name the Splash!
A new tradition was born at the 2003 conference. A water slide was present, and MPLA folks had no trepidation whatsoever about making use of it. In honor of the good times shared poolside/slideside, we present an ending section we affectionately titled "Name that Splash!"
MPLA Webmaster, Dan Chaney (I'm pretty sure those are his feet.)
Oklahoma Representative, Basha Hartley (who I'm sure will kill me for this photo! ;-)
Public Libraries Section Chair, Robert Banks isn't quite in the splash pool yet...
NMRT Chair, Scott Goldy
Finally, Joe Edelen, MPLA Executive Secretary got in on the action and gave a big "thumbs up" gesture of approval.
Moral of the story: Be careful if you go to the pool or water slide if Dan and Lisa are there and have the digital camera with them... ;-)
